Basemint Designs

You’ve probably seen our sweet posters around town. Basemint, a local screen printing company, printed all of our posters on recycled cardboard, fabric, and old posters.

For our swag bags, they screen printed little baggies and filled them with buttons for participants to use at the Swap!

And for a door prize, a certificate redeemable for one free poster:

We can’t wait to see more from Basemint in the future!

Domestica is a brand new store opening in Des Moines! They sent us over cute buttons to accessorize your swap finds with.

Domestica’s goal is to promote the quality and value of handmade/cottage industry craftsmanship; planting the seed of great design that’s kind to the environment, kind to the artist and kind to your pocketbook.

They are also providing two door prizes for the day of our event:

Their official grand opening is the day of the Swap, April 24th. After you swap your stuff, head over their to check out their shop and celebrate with them!

Katy Jo of kjk designs has hooked up our swag bags with some awesome stickers that go in hand with our swap! She’s also chipped in an amazing door prize…a photo shoot! Here’s what her photo shoot includes:

1 hour photo shoot (choose from maternity, family, kids, engagement, baby) on location
Receive a CD with all edited images from the shoot
It will take approximately 2 weeks to see your photos online and also to receive your CD

The Permanent Collection

We’ve started receiving Swag for this year’s Swap! For our first batch of swag we received 40 clever little greeting cards and some very nice ready to frame broadsides that we plan to offer as door prizes, from The Permanent Collection, a letterpress and design studio in Des Moines, Iowa. View more over at their Etsy shop!

The Permanent Collection, started in 2006 by Sarah McCoy, offers cards, invitations, announcements, broadsides and artist books. Everything is handmade and letterpress printed between the rolling hills and river valleys of Iowa.

McCoy received a Graduate Certificate from The University of Iowa Center for the Book in 2006 with an emphasis in Artists’ Books and Letterpress printing. Currently she is the owner of the company located in Des Moines, Iowa.
